The son of Manchester United legend David Beckham, Romeo Beckham has announced his retirement from football at the age of 22.
The former Brentford player has decided to follow in his mother Victoria Beckham's footsteps and pursue a career in fashion.
Romeo Beckham began his journey as a footballer with Arsenal's youth team in 2015 before moving to Inter Miami's academy in 2021.
He spent two years with the American club in their reserve team before joining Brentford's B team in the summer of 2023.
The 22-year-old had a penchant for fashion since childhood. Aged just 10, he appeared in a Burberry Kids campaign and was voted Britain's 26th best dressed man in 2011.
In 2021, he signed a £1.2 million deal with Puma to be the face of their brand.
Furthermore, Romeo Beckham was the cover model of L'Uomo Vogue in 2021 and has also worked for Yves Saint Laurent as a model.
According to a report from The Sun, Romeo Beckham recently signed a lucrative deal with fashion agent Paris Safe Management.
The report further stated that Romeo enjoyed playing for Brentford but chose to devote all his time to fashion – a career he was passionate about.
