Ipswich and Kosovo goalkeeper Arijanet Muric has joined Sassuolo on loan. The 26-year-old made 18 appearances for the English side last season during a one-year stay in the Premier League, following his transfer from Burnley last summer for an initial fee of £10m.
Murić was then replaced as first-choice during the second half of the season by Alex Palmer, who transferred from West Bromwich Albion in January, having missed the last 11 league games due to a shoulder injury.
The Kosovo national team goalkeeper began his senior career at Manchester City, where he made 5 appearances during the Carabao Cup-winning campaign (2018-2019), but was left out of the final by Pep Guardiola in favor of first-choice goalkeeper Ederson.
After several loan spells, including spells at Nottingham Forest and in the Netherlands, Spain and Turkey, the Kosovar goalkeeper signed with Burnley ahead of their successful promotion season to the Premier League (2022-2023).
