Just 30 minutes after Carlo Ancelotti appeared at a press conference and said, in response to Tebas' statements, that "no one at Real Madrid has lost a trophy", the president of La Liga immediately reacted on the social network "X", criticizing the Madrid club's stance on the refereeing issue.
“ Carlo, stay calm …”, – Tebas began his message, directly referring to the Italian coach’s words that “Tebas be calm”, and then added a long text: “ The Spanish championship is not manipulated, we all want improvements in the organization of the refereeing, which we have been asking for for a long time. However, it is interesting that Real Madrid, which is now so worried, has been part of the RFEF Board of Directors until November 2023 and has not said a word .”
Tebas continued by criticizing the Real Madrid TV videos and the lack of concrete proposals from the Madrid club to improve the refereeing situation: " By then, months had passed since the 'Negreira' case came to light, but in the meantime, Real Madrid TV continued to 'entertain' us with its so 'objective' videos about referees. Why have there been no proposals, neither in the Federation nor in La Liga ?"
Further, the president of La Liga rejected Real's claims about changing the ownership model and "nationalizing" La Liga, ironically: " Neither the justification for changing the ownership model nor the nationalization of La Liga is believed by the most naive. Is this a new justification? Because we have already heard this theory from some high-profile spokespeople ."
Tebas's reaction came after Ancelotti's words at the press conference, where the Real Madrid coach did not shy away from any issue. Asked about Tebas' statements the day before, he replied: " Before such an important match against Atletico Madrid I would not like to touch on this topic. Tebas can be calm, because no one has lost the game here.
"We have simply asked for explanations to improve a system that, from what I hear, no one is happy with. Others are not happy because they think it is a system that favors Real Madrid, but when Real Madrid wants to change the system, others want to reject it ."
