Football always gives you what you deserve, sooner or later. Something like this happened to Klisman Cakes, the central defender of Shkëndija e Tetovo, who at the age of 26 was invited to Silvinjo's A National Team for the first time.
The absence of Kumbulla due to injury and the suspicion of an injury to Ismajli, has made the coach look at new names. Cake undoubtedly deserves the invitation as in recent seasons he has been in the formations of the year in the neighboring country with Shkëndija.
Born in Pogradec on May 2, 1999, Cake has been involved with football since he was a child. In January 2016, he joined the Tirana U-17 team and after just one season found himself in the first team. The youngster managed to play there for two seasons, while the white-and-blue climate led him to Struga in September 2019.
In addition to sports, Cake also pursued his studies in the neighboring country, not forgetting his old love, football. Three years with Struga and Cake stood out for his 'iron' defense, his attacks, his verticalization and decisive passes, especially with the outside.
That's how long it took for North Macedonia's most in-form club, Shkëndija e Tetovo, to bring him to the team on October 1, 2022. For three years with the red and blacks, Cake secured the starting spot and is now part of the Conference League groups with his team.
The fact that he plays in European competitions with Shkëndija is another plus "weapon" for Cakes that managed to get the attention of the coach of the Albanian National Team, with the Pogradec player now awaiting the first minutes to make his debut with the Albanian National Team.
October 3, 2025 will remain long in his memory, as for the first time Silvinjo invited him to the Albanian A team. In 2018, he debuted with the U-21 team and has collected three matches.
Tirana's distrust in his early youth did not stop the youngster, who after six years sees himself as a starter with his team and a well-deserved invitation to the National Team. Welcome back Klisman! Your fate with football is tied to the name you bear, that of the German attacking legend.
