The coach of the Albanian National Team, Silvinjo, appeared at an official press conference today, after publishing the list of 27 players gathered for the two important challenges against Serbia and Latvia.
Silvinho spoke about his selections, the physical condition and form of the players called up, as well as the importance of these two matches. He focused particularly on the match against Serbia, describing it as a tough match that requires maximum concentration and detailed preparation.

List and condition of the players? – This is a very difficult and special moment of the FIFA dates, the players are finishing the season and we have to see how they arrive. Some arrive very tired, some less, because they have played less, some have finished the season for days. It is a special moment, we have names, but we have players who are on vacation for 20 days, not specifically in our ranks. We have to work well, we have 7-10 days to do a good job. It will be important to do a good job. I repeat that it is a special moment of the season.
The match with Serbia and the emotions? – They are two very important matches, two teams, very physical opponents. We spend a lot of energy, we have to work very well. All 27 players will be important, the first message is that we need everyone. They are two very difficult matches to spend a lot of energy on.
Let's focus on the first one, Serbia. It's not a normal match, I know, I know the history. But we have to focus on the game, we have to do well, be a team that fights with heart and soul, not lose our identity, go out on the field and play football. They are us. I agree that it's a match that needs to be well prepared, difficult, but we have our chances.
Can we have changes to create a surprise effect? – I emphasize once again that the 27 players I have are very important. There are 7 days in a row that we have to prepare for this match and we have to do it well. We know the opponents, we have seen the last matches that Serbia and Latvia have played, but at the same time, they will have seen and studied us. Maybe we have some kind of change, but it remains to be seen in the coming days, while we prepare the matches. They are two strong, difficult and physical matches.
We've seen what they've played recently, we've had almost a year or a year and a half of playing against tough opponents, but Serbia has had the same thing. They're both strong teams, they have a lot of inches, very tall, physically strong players.
We will have to spend a lot of energy with them, but we will work on our chances, we will prepare the match well enough. Every match lasts 90 minutes and anything can happen in that time. They start the game well, but we have our chances.
From what you have seen, can we get a win against Serbia? – These are two strong, difficult and physical matches. Both teams have tall players, they have centimeters, they are physically strong. To face this match, you have to spend a lot of energy. We will work on our possibilities, we have improved, we have important players, many of them are having a good moment.
We have the opportunity, we have to work on this, prepare well for both games. Football is played in 90 minutes and anything can happen. We have had a journey in the last year, playing against very strong teams, but our next opponent has also played against strong opponents. They are a physical team, they start well, they have technical quality, but we have to cope well and we have our chances.
Controlling emotions against Serbia? – I'm sure we have to work on this aspect, it's a special match. But let's not forget that we go to the field and there it's sport, 90 minutes. We have to prepare very well to face both matches. Clearly, these 7 days, starting on the first day, we will work on it. I need 27 players with a lot of desire to go to the field, to run and leave their heart and soul, we have no other way.
Theoretically, on paper it is second place, but in football anything can happen. We have to work on everything we can get. The journey is fast and there is no time to waste. This is the message; I need every minute of the players, from training. The field speaks. I want to see players who run, who do everything we have done, even more, even more heart and soul. This is the characteristic of our team, we must not lose it. I want even more.
Chances for first place? – On paper, we have to be honest, England is a very strong team; young, good coach, very high-level players. In football, anything can happen, it's a game, everything is fast. We have to focus on ourselves, our strength, the points, the opportunities until the end, then we'll see.
In October-November we will see what happens. We have to score points, work hard, spend our energy, and then see what happens. England is one of the strongest teams in the world, in my opinion. But we have to see the next two opponents, try to get points, do well in 180 minutes, because there are two games.

Janë 10 persona që punojnë çdo ditë duke ndjekur dhe vëzhguar lojtarët që mund të përmirësojnë ekipin. Këtë po bëjmë, fusha flet. Nga 27 lojtarë, më duhet të zgjedh 11 prej tyre në formacionin titullar. Jemi të kënaqur me lojtarët që kemi, që po përmirësohen. Po përmirësojnë ekipin, sjellin gjëra të rëndësishme. Është e vërtetë që ka limite, nuk mund të bësh shumë ndryshime në çdo grumbullim. Jemi të kënaqur me këta 27 dhe pres shumë nga të gjithë ata. Dhe nëse ka ndonjë tjetër, ne jemi në ndjekje për ta parë, por jam krenar për lojtarët në këtë moment.
Komenti i Presidentit të Serbisë, që ka bërë thirrje për fitore në Tiranë, keni ndonjë përgjigje? – E kam dëgjuar diku diçka të tillë, por e bukura e futbollit është se zgjat 90 minuta, dhe këtë e kam mësuar shumë vite më parë, me eksperiencë. Janë dy ndeshje të vështira, ku duhet të futemi shumë fort në fushë, të bëjmë më të mirën e mundshme, dhe futbolli do të flasë vetë. Unë jam i lumtur me lojtarët që kam përzgjedhur dhe do të punojmë fort.
Ndeshja me Serbinë para 10 viteve në Tiranë? – E kam parë atë që ka ndodhur vite më përpara dhe nuk shqetësohem, sepse do t’i përgatisim lojtarët për të luajtur futboll 90 minuta dhe do të bëhet diferenca. E bukura e kësaj Kombëtareje është se kemi lojtarë nga të gjitha anët e botës, kemi edhe një lojtar shqiptar në Argjentinë.
Unë besoj që lojtarët më të mirë në qarkullim janë këta 27 që ne kemi përzgjedhur. Sigurisht që ne kemi parë edhe lojtarë të tjerë, kemi listë prej 15-20 lojtarësh që nuk janë grumbulluar, por i vëzhgojmë vazhdimisht. Por jam i kënaqur me ata që kemi grumbulluar.
Shpendi? – Futbolli nuk bëhet vetëm brenda 24 orëve, pra nëse është duke performuar mirë momentalisht, duhet futur në lojë. Sa më shumë që një lojtar grumbullohet dhe përgjigjet në fushë, aq më shumë shanse ka që të thirret prapë. Unë besoj te një ekip që ka bazë dhe që mund të rritet dhe të shtojë 3 ose 4 elementë. Kjo është metodologjia që ne ndjekim dhe aplikojmë. Nuk besoj në 10 ndryshime për çdo grumbullim, por te një grup që jep më të mirën.
A do luajë Asllani me Interin në finale? – Edhe si Federatë jemi krenarë me lojtarin dhe shumë të tjerë që bëjnë një rrugëtim shumë të bukur. Mua më kujtohet që si lojtar është pjesa më e bukur në karrierë, si trajner është e mirë. E kam zgjedhur si karrierë, por si lojtar kjo është një ndeshje e jashtëzakonshme, sipas meje më e mira në botë.

Which department has the most hope? – Everyone. We have to be a strong team in defense and attack, both phases, it's not easy. But this is, it's not one sector that wins the game, but everyone together. I believe that all 11 players defend and create the game, both phases are difficult. We think we are a balanced team, we work hard. It's not about putting a certain number of attackers or defenders. I'm happy with these 27 players, I'm sure we can balance the team. Let's get on the field and give everything there.
