The Kosovo national football team held its final training session yesterday before the important match against Switzerland, which will take place this evening at 8:45 PM, at the "Fadil Vokrri" stadium.

All players were at the disposal of coach Franco Foda, who worked carefully on tactical details.

After the 0-2 away win over Slovenia, Kosovo secured second place in Group B and a place in the World Cup play-offs, a historic achievement for the "Dardans". However, mathematically there is still a chance for direct qualification, but it requires a miracle. A minimum 6-0 victory today against Switzerland.

At the media conference, coach Foda stated that the main objective is a dignified performance and victory over Switzerland, to show the true face of Kosovo, unlike the 4-0 defeat in Basel a few weeks ago.

"I told the players that the most important thing is to play well. In Switzerland we did not show our true face. We will do everything to win the match. In theory, many things are possible. In football, miracles often happen, but realistically, if you evaluate the situation, Switzerland has been very consistent in these qualifiers and overturning a 6-0 result is practically impossible," Foda declared.

The Austrian coach emphasized the importance of the impact of the fans and the atmosphere in the stadium.

"We play at home, in front of our fans. There is great euphoria in the country, especially after the last matches. For us, it is extremely important to do everything to win this match. The fact that one round before the last we secured the play-offs, in a group with Sweden, Slovenia and Switzerland, speaks volumes about the team. We have shown good performances, except for that first match in Switzerland," he added.

Although the success achieved so far is historic, Foda emphasized that the real celebration will only begin if Kosovo achieves qualification for the 2026 World Cup.

"The big celebration will only be when we qualify through the play-offs. Then we will have written a great story," he concluded.

In the five Group B matches played so far, Kosovo holds second place with 10 points, with three wins, one draw and one loss. The Dardanelles have scored five goals, compared to four conceded (in a 4-0 loss against Switzerland).
