Crystal Palace have won the first major trophy in their club history, after defeating Manchester City in the FA Cup final at "Wembley", with a narrow score of 1-0. The result was unlocked in the 16th minute, when Ebereshi Eze scored after a spectacular action by Crystal Palace and an assist from Munjoz.
In the 35th minute, City had a golden chance to equalize after Bernardo Silva was fouled in the area and the referee awarded a penalty, but Omar Marmush missed from the penalty spot. The Egyptian's shot was saved by Dean Henderson. The first half ended 1-0.
In the 58th minute, Crystal Palace found the net again, but Daniel Munjoz's goal was disallowed after VAR intervention for offside. There were fierce protests from Crystal Palace staff, but the published footage proved the referee's decision right.
