Defender Bujar Pllana is expected to be one of coach Silvinjo's innovations in the Albanian national football team. The 24-year-old footballer, born in Mitrovica, has decided to represent Albania in the international arena.
Pllana was previously part of the Kosovo U-21 national team, with whom he played three matches. According to FIFA rules, he has received permission to change national teams, as he has not debuted in any official match with the Kosovo first team.
At club level, the defender initially played in the Kosovo Super League with Trepça '89, Feronikeli '74 and Prishtina. In 2023, he transferred to Croatia to Slaven Belupo, and then moved to Poland to Lekia Gdansk, where he has been active for about a year and a half.
During this season in the Polish Super League, Pllana has participated in 11 matches, accumulating a total of 794 minutes on the field.
The footballer is managed by former Albanian national team player, Eros Grezda.
