
The world of football has lost an important figure in the field of coaching today. Dutchman Leo Banhaker, who for many years was considered one of the best coaches in the world, has passed away at the age of 82.
The famous former coach made his name managing teams such as Ajax, Feyenoord and Real Madrid, with whom he won three consecutive championship titles in the late 1980s. But not only with clubs, Benhakker was a coach who made history in managing the national teams as well.
First with the Netherlands, which he led to the 1990 World Cup, and then he led Trinidad and Tobago, which he incredibly qualified for the 2006 World Cup. Then, in 2008, he managed to qualify Poland for Euro 2008.
