Sylvinho is no longer the coach of the Albanian National Team.
In a communication to the media, the Albanian Football Federation announced that the Brazilian coach has ended his adventure with the Rossoneri.
This news comes a few days before the friendly matches that will be played on June 3 and 6. It is also announced that today at 10:00, the new coach will be introduced at a media conference at the "House of Football".
The Brazilian's contract was due to expire at the end of June, and he had been in negotiations for a renewal for some time, but the parties have decided to end their cooperation after failing to qualify for the 2026 World Cup.
Sylvinho joined the Albanian National Team in 2023 and in his first year, achieved historic qualification for Euro 2024, closing the qualifying group in first place.
Also, in the 2026 World Cup Qualifiers, Albania came second behind England and left behind Serbia, with another historic qualification, this time in the play-offs, where they were defeated by Poland in the semi-finals.
