
Matjus Nunes, the Portuguese footballer who started in Manchester City's 4-0 win against Slovan Bratislava in the Champions League, was arrested at La Riviera nightclub in Madrid after stealing the phone of a person who took a photo in the bathroom.
The newspaper "El Mundo" reports that the incident happened on September 8. According to the Spanish media, " the agents took the footballer to the Arganzuela police station where a statement was taken about a suspected theft crime, as confirmed by the Madrid police headquarters. A few hours later, the midfielder was released pending trial ."
The Portuguese, the candidate for 'New Rodri' for Pep Guardiola's Manchester City, is a footballer who City paid £62m to Wolverhampton in 2023.

" He is one of the best players in the world ," said Guardiola referring to Matjus Nunes.
The player was born in Rio de Janeiro (Brazil) on August 27, 1998 and at the age of 12 he moved to Ericeira in Portugal.
" I grew up without a father, I had a very difficult childhood. I didn't think I would be a player... When I was working in the pastry shop I started to take responsibility because there are rules to follow ", he explained in an interview he gave to 'Record'.
