Another race and another great result for Luiza Gegë, who continues to write the history of Albanian athletics in the international arena.
Gega has won a gold medal at the Balkan Championships being held in Izmir, Turkey, thanks to an excellent performance in the 3000 meters steeplechase. The Red Championship played a dominant race, confirming for years that it remains uncompetitive in the region. She clocked a time of 9:26.40, earning her first place finish, about 20 seconds behind her nearest competitor.
A fantastic result from the Albanian athlete, who tomorrow will also seek the gold medal in the 5000 meters race. We remind you that Gega is also qualified for the "Paris 2024" Olympic Games.
