Liverpool achieved a dramatic and extremely important away win this Sunday, defeating Nottingham Forest by a narrow 1-0 score at the City Ground.
The game was only decided in the 97th minute, when Alexis Mac Allister took a rare opportunity for Liverpool and scored the only goal of the match. The Reds were far from their best throughout the 90+ minutes, while Nottingham Forest played a much better game, created a number of clear scoring chances and deserved at least a point, if not the win.
Despite Forest's dominance, which had numerous opportunities but failed to capitalize on them, it was Mac Allister who decided the fate of the match in the final seconds, giving Arne Slot's team three precious points.
With this victory, Liverpool is level on points with Chelsea and Manchester United, both with 45 points after this round, keeping the race for first place and European qualification open.
In the day's other Premier League matches, Granit Xhaka's Sunderland lost at home to Fulham with a score of 1-3.
Crystal Palace won against Wolverhampton with a score of 1-0, taking three important points in the battle for survival or higher positions.
