The delay has been attributed to coach Hansi Flick, who has received an official warning from UEFA's disciplinary body for repeated behavior that could lead to more severe sanctions.
Slavia Prague has also been fined 40,000 euros. Of this, 20,000 euros are related to blocking the exits to the stadium, while another 20,000 euros are related to lighting flares. In addition, a measure to partially close the stadium has been suspended for a two-year trial period.
These developments come at a delicate moment for the "Blaugrana" club. In addition to the results crisis, Barcelona is also on the eve of presidential elections, which are expected to influence the future direction of the club.
Financially, the club has faced significant difficulties, particularly in transfer window operations. According to previous reports, the club's debt has exceeded 500 million euros, a situation attributed to the management of recent years by previous and current directors.
The latest sanctions from UEFA add to the pressure on a team already facing significant squad shortages and fierce competition in the league. The warning to coach Flik and the financial fines put the club in a situation where every next step, on and off the pitch, will be crucial for the season.
