Mario Mitaj is undoubtedly one of the players who surprised everyone. The defender from Malësia e Madhe stood out in the qualifiers and was confirmed in Euro2020 as well, playing three full matches. Medon Berisha was the big surprise of Sylvinho's Euro2024 roster. The Lecce midfielder, although he had never played with the first team before, became part of the Brazilian's list for the European finals. The captain of the Albania U21 team made his debut with the first team in the match against Spain, becoming the youngest player from Albania to play in the finals of a major tournament for the Reds and Blacks. Berisha took the field at the age of 20 years, 8 months and 3 days, becoming the youngest player to play in a European for Albania.
Both are considered among the players with a future in Albania and their activation at this age in such a major event is a great sign of confidence, which is expected to be rewarded in the future.
