The first diagnosis from the medical staff of the Spanish national team left no room for optimism. Imaging tests that the player underwent this Saturday confirmed that Pedri is suffering from a "grade 2 internal lateral sprain" in his left knee.
Therefore, he will have to spend a few weeks of rest and treatment before the championships resume, which means that we will not see this European again, neither in the semi-final against France on Tuesday, nor in a possible final.
Pedri will still stay in the base camp with his team and accompany them for the rest of the tour. If the injury is a blow to him, it could be even more serious: grade 2 indicates that the medial collateral ligament is not completely torn, and therefore the player's absence should not be too long.
