Widzew Lodz has secured a significant victory in the race for survival in the Polish football elite, triumphing 3-1 over Lechia Gdansk in the 32nd week of the "Ekstraklasa".
Albanian national team midfielder Juljan Shehu was the negative protagonist at the end of the match. He was initially punished with a yellow card in the 82nd minute, while six minutes later he received a second one, leaving the field prematurely.
The second card came after a harsh tackle on an opposing player, where Shehu kicked his rival's leg with his heel, an action that was immediately assessed by the referee as a penalty.
After 32 weeks of the championship, Udzu Lodz ranks 12th with 39 points, maintaining a minimal gap from the relegation zone.
