Some of the challenges of the 33rd week of the Bundesliga, the penultimate week of the German championship, have been completed, clarifying the last remaining open objectives for this season.
In the most important match of the day, Stuttgart triumphed 3-1 over Bayer Leverkusen at the "MHPArena", in a direct duel for fourth place, which guarantees participation in the Champions League next season.
The “Aspirin” immediately took the lead through Aleiks Garcia, who scored in the first minute of the match. The home team’s reaction was immediate, as Ermedin Demirovic equalized in the fifth minute. In the second half, Stuttgart turned everything around thanks to Mittelstadt’s goal from the penalty spot and Undav’s conversion, sealing the 3-1 victory.
With this success, Stuttgart holds fourth place with 61 points, in the zone that secures a ticket to the Champions League.
Hoffenheim is also ranked fifth with 61 points, after a narrow 1-0 victory over Werder Bremen. The only goal of the match was scored by Bazumana Toure.
Meanwhile, Leipzig mathematically secured third place and qualification for the Champions League, after a 2-1 victory over St. Pauli.
In the other match of the day, Augsburg defeated Borussia Mönchengladbach 3-1.
The week continues in the evening with the clash between Wolfsburg and Bayern Munich, scheduled to start at 18:30.
