Ticket sales for the "play off" begin, Poland rejects Albania's

The 2026 World Cup play-off between Poland and Albania will take place in Warsaw on March 26. The match will be a one-off and will determine which team will advance to the group stage of the World Cup, which will be held from June 11 to July 19 in the United States, Mexico and Canada.

The Polish Football Federation has started distributing tickets for the match to be played at the “PGE Narodowy” stadium. The high interest from local fans for this challenge has led the president of the Polish Federation, Cezari Kuleza, to reject the Albanian side’s request for a greater number of tickets than 5% of the stadium’s capacity, a percentage determined by UEFA regulations.

As a result, Albanian fans will have around 3,000 seats available in the stadium. An attempt to increase this number to 5,000 tickets was also made by the Albanian ambassador to Poland, Mimoza Halimi, who held a meeting with the leaders of the Polish Football Federation, but the request was not accepted.

On the other hand, the Albanian Football Federation has also secured around 100 VIP tickets for its sponsors and officials. However, the presence of red and black fans in the stadium is expected to be limited.

The PGE Narodowy Stadium in Warsaw has a capacity of 58,580 seats and is expected to be full, creating a fiery atmosphere for this decisive clash.

The winner of the Poland-Albania match will then face the winner of the Ukraine-Sweden match for a place in Group F of the 2026 World Cup.
