Zoran Zekic has started work as the new coach of Partizan since yesterday, while today he held the first press conference in front of the media. The Croatian technician immediately admitted that his initial objective is to prepare the team for Europe.
A participation that will start with some absences, as he has admitted, but not calling them excuses. He also spoke about the approach of Eros Grezda to the Reds, but also about the most unexpected life of coaches, as he commented on the departure of Kolela from the bench of the Reds.
" I didn't choose Partizan, Partizan chose me. For me it was a big challenge, I worked in Moldova, in Hungary, in Croatia and now I needed a new challenge. I think that Partizan is the biggest club in Albania and for me, my staff, it is an opportunity to do something good for Europe, starting with the Champions League and then the championship. But we will have more time for the championship.
I played against Partizan, I worked for the Sheriff of Tiraspol and in that match I remember the quality and very good mentality of Partizan. Also fortunately I had the opportunity to work with many Albanian footballers in Croatia and in other clubs and I like their character, quality and profile of how they play football. My opinion is to play football with discipline.
I've only had one training session, I've seen a lot of things, we're not done yet, we're waiting for some players. I definitely have to show myself and explain to my players what I accept and what rules they have to follow on and off the field of play. We don't have much time.
Will Grezda come? I think it's a question for the manager because I have a lot of work to do on the field of play. You have to know that he played the best football of his career when he played with me. I wish him to be in good shape, I know he has a great desire to come to Partizan, but everything else depends on the agreements.
Other approaches? I don't have a list, we have spoken and the manager knows the profile of the players needed, and he knows better than I what is needed here.
I came to training with energy and great desire. Personally, even in the match, I have to give positive energy to the team and I want to give them the impetus.
I take the team that won the championship title, I want to thank the former coach and his staff first. I don't want to talk too much, but we have to fight to win the title. But first we have a month to prepare for Europe and how we will be represented.
Matondo is still our player, I don't think he won't come. He has his wishes, and the club has his wishes to talk to him. He has to come here, talk to the club and then the best decision for everyone will be made.
Chances of passing tours? First of all, it depends on how we will prepare for Europe. In a few days we will see the opponent and we have 20 days, then we will analyze and do everything else. I don't like that I don't have many returning players yet. But no excuses, we have to do everything to prepare for that match. My opinion in life and football is that nothing is impossible, it just takes time to achieve.

Por jam 100% i sigurt, jo vetëm te Partizani e futbolli shqiptar, ne jemi profesionistë. Dhe nëse mendoni për suksesin, u thashë lojtarëve dje që të harrojnë gratë, baballarët dhe fëmijët dhe të mendojnë për ekipin.
