The footballers of Egnatia experienced today the most shocking day of their career, as they learned that their teammate, Rafael Duamena, has tragically passed away as a result of a collapse on the playing field.
Although it was thought that the worst was over when he left the Rrogozhina stadium in an ambulance, they later learned the tragic news that he had arrived lifeless at the Kavaja hospital. Several players and staff immediately went there and received the terrible news about their team-mate.
The following images show the moments when Duamena's dead body was taken by ambulance from the Kavaja hospital to the Durrës regional hospital where the forensic examination will be carried out. The footballers and staff members appear very depressed and tearful in those moments as they see their teammate being transported in an ambulance, next to whom they had been just a few hours before.
