Paolo Tramezani has officially returned to the bench, starting a new chapter in his career in Italian football. The former assistant to Gianni De Biazi during Albania's historic EURO 2016 adventure has been appointed coach of Como's first women's team.
Unlike previous commitments, Tramezani will not lead a men's team, but will be at the helm of the Lombard club's women's football project, a sector that Como intends to further develop in the coming years.
The Italian coach has immediately started working with the team in training, emphasizing that his objective is to build a competitive and long-term project. Tramezani has also expressed the desire for the women's team to follow the example of the Como men's team, led by Cesc Fabregas, which is excelling in Serie A.
Tramezan's official presentation was made by the sports director of women's football at Como, the Albanian Miro Keci. The latter, who has been leading the women's project at the club for years, was the originator of the approach of the Italian coach.
" I have known him since 2012, when he was deputy coach of the Albanian National Team. I know how he works and how he communicates with athletes. He has a lot of experience and at this moment we need a figure with these characteristics ," said Keci during the presentation.
Tramezani's appointment is seen as an important step in the consolidation of women's football in Como and in the club's ambitions to build a competitive structure in this sector as well.
