Athletics champion, Luiza Gega, is considering leaving athletics. The athlete of the moment in Albania has confirmed in an interview for "Report TV" that after participating in the "Olympic Games Paris 2024", which she cares to highlight as the most important competition of her career, she will consider retiring from sports.
"This will be the most important year of my career. It is the "Paris 2024" Olympic Games. After the end of my career, I don't know exactly when it will be, but after the Olympic Games I will think about what will happen to my career. I feel psychologically tired, because it has been many years, but I will definitely have a successor that I will pass the baton to, which at the moment I am not looking at, because I really want this sport to be where it needs to be, to have a lot flags of Albania all over the world. The goal is to have a very good position in the Olympic Games. I really hope that I will be away from injuries ", said Luiza Gega.
The European champion has clear objectives for the future.
" Taking care of children is the most beautiful thing. They are the future and this makes me very happy when I see that today they have come from all over Albania. And why not in a future they can look to become a Luiza, an Izmir to be on the golden peaks of the world. I am very happy that the Athletics Federation has taken such steps, as they are the future.
