Oskar Piastri has won another Grand Prix this season, triumphing in Bahrain, to now be one of the main protagonists in the fight for the championship title. The Australian McLaren driver has been elusive from everyone else since the start of the challenge and not even the safety car in the middle of the race shook his position.
Behind Piastri, there was a battle for the podium, with George Russell in Mercedes managing to outstrip any challenger for second place. Lando Norris had to settle for third place, but that still allowed the McLaren driver to maintain his championship lead over his teammate.
He managed to leave behind the two Ferraris of Leclerc and Hamilton, who finished fourth and fifth respectively, after a race where at times it seemed they were in a position to fight for a place on the podium, but ultimately dropped out due to strategy. This was the best position of the season for both drivers. It is worth noting that fifth place is Lewis Hamilton's best position in the four races he has run with Ferrari so far.
