Kylian Mbappe has been involved in an altercation with Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) president Nasser Al-Khelaifi ahead of the club's final Ligue 1 match against Toulouse on Sunday, La Parisien reported on Monday.
Last week, Mbappe confirmed his departure from PSG in a video posted on his social media accounts, where the 25-year-old thanked his team-mates, past coaches and other staff at the club, but he did not mention Al -Khelaifi throughout the video.
According to La Parisien, Nasser asked the Frenchman why he was not mentioned in the video. The fight became so intense that the locker room walls were "shaking," the report added.
According to multiple reports across France, Mbappe and Al-Khelaifi have not spoken to each other since February, when the Frenchman communicated his decision not to stay at the club for another season.
Mbappe bid farewell to PSG after winning 14 trophies, including six league titles. However, he was unable to lead his side to European glory as despite coming very close to victory in 2020, they lost to Bayern Munich in the Champions League final.
In his video, Mbappe did not mention where he would be going next, but according to reports, the Frenchman has already signed his contract with Madrid in February and the deal could be announced by the Spanish club after the Champions League final, which is in June 1.
Mbappe has been a long-term target of Los Blancos as they tried to sign the Frenchman but the deal never materialised. According to Fabrizio Romano, the signing fee for Mbappe will be around 100 million euros and will be paid over five seasons.
After a long wait of nearly seven seasons, Madrid will finally be able to land Mbappe, who will join the likes of Vinicius Junior, Rodrygo Goes, Jude Bellingham and others next season.
