KF Tërnoci was attacked by Serbian police while in Bosilegrad to play against Mladost. Both teams are part of the Serbian fifth league, while the Albanian club of Tërnoci has published a reaction.
Tërnoci tells everything that happened, including the beating of its football player, Veton Zeqiri, the raid on the locker room, and the socializing in the region.
Reaction of KF Trnoc:
The shame and bad scenario of Bosilegrad. Here's what happened to us
Today, our team, in the spirit of sportsmanship and Fair Play, appeared at the Bosilegrad stadium to play the championship match within the Pcinja District Regional League with the local team, Mladost.
Throughout the match, there was a tendency on the part of the hosts, in collaboration with the referees, to harm us in the result. And that is exactly what happened. After they unjustly punished us with two red cards, the match went 2:1 in favor of the hosts.
Coming to terms with the fate of the match, we never thought that this was the beginning of a drama for our club's expedition.
A member of stadium security, for unknown reasons, invites the police onto the field, who are not allowed to enter the field without the delegate's permission.
With full of cruelty and anger, one of the policemen hits our footballer, Veton Zeqiri, while various insults follow towards the others.
And that wasn't the end of it.
The police burst into our locker room like in the movies, conducting a raid on the players' personal belongings.
The police brutally raid everything under the pretext of searching for cold weapons and whatnot.
After nothing is found, the police drama script continues by sending our team to the police station of this city.
Here, our captain is asked to give a statement, while our beaten footballer is not accepted to give a statement.
In the end, we are released and we will give our statement about police violence at the Bujanovac station.
In the end, we conclude that today's abuse and violence in Bosilegrad was a scenario prepared by circles outside of football and for completely different needs.
The question arises, if the police really received information that our team had gone to Bosilegrad for incidents, why did they allow the match to start? Why did they allow the KF Trnoci expedition to enter the city, etc.?
But who did we inflict violence on?
We are only for football and sports as a bridge between peoples.
But, as can be seen, others are against sports and against an entire ethnicity. They are the ones who weave scenarios that seem so ridiculous to them.
