Germany will guarantee security at the opening match of "EURO 2024" with a "strong ring of steel" made up of thousands of armed police to defend against possible attacks.
Security expert Will Geddes, who has worked with Premier League clubs, told The Sun that 22,000 police will be present for tonight's game alone.

" EURO 2024" presents a "wide spectrum of potential risks and issues" amid a "very high level of risk from ISIS ," he warned.
Will explained that the country's special forces, intelligence services and police will be called in to help prepare and defend against any possible attack.
Crowds will be closely monitored under CCTV, Artificial Intelligence, the watchful eye of "super watchers" and plainclothes officers, he said.
Will, who leads a team of security experts at the International Corporation for Protection (ICP), closely monitors ISIS conversations. Working with analysts who have experience in the military, intelligence and law enforcement, his team has seen ISIS make "very specific references to Germany."
German Interior Minister Nancy Faeser told the 350 foreign police officers sent to help ahead of the event that the focus of security would be "above all on the threat of Islamic terrorism".

Today's match will see Scotland take on Germany at the Allianz Arena in Munich - which can hold up to 67,000 fans. During the championship, Germany will host 2.7 million fans in 10 different stadiums – along with another 12 million in fan zones.
Will explained that the massive security operation will range from snipers scattered around the stadium to "super watchers" hidden in the crowd. "There will be a number of different layers of security," he said.

" You have about 22,000 federal police that will be assigned specifically to Europe ... including hostile behavior detection personnel .
" These are specialists looking for those individuals who may have malicious intent ." Furthermore, "police forces of foreign and neighboring countries" brought in from around the world have received data from their intelligence services and anti-terrorist units before the match.
Will told The Sun that certain technology will be introduced to keep fans safe.
