Jasir Asani was one of Albania's key figures during the Euro 2024 qualifiers. With three goals and three assists, he made a direct contribution to four important wins in the group stage, earning the appreciation of the red and black fans. In the same period, coach Silvinjo gained great popularity for his results and team management.
However, Asan's situation in the national team has undergone a significant change over the past year. The striker was activated as a starter in the match against England, in the opening match of the World Cup qualifiers, but since that challenge he has not received a single minute in the eight official matches played thereafter.
The climax of this situation was recently marked, when Asani was left in the stands for the first time by coach Silvinho. Until the match against England, he had been an active part in every match under the guidance of the Brazilian coach.
Asani's last appearances in the red and black jersey date back to friendly matches against Gibraltar and Jordan, where he even managed to score against Gibraltar.
The change in the coach's attitude towards the player seems clear. Currently, Asani is not considered part of Silvinho's plans, despite the fact that it was precisely this coach who gave him the opportunity to debut and become an important element of the team.
