Lucas Hernández has become PSG's fifth signing this summer. The 27-year-old central defender was confirmed as a new player for the Parisians, signing until 2027 and with a fee of 50 million euros. Bayern were forced to sell him as his contract expires in 2024 and the Frenchman had already told the Bavarians he would not renew because he wanted to play in Paris.
That of Lucas Hernández assumes a signature of guarantees for PSG. The former Atlético de Madrid player, despite suffering significant knee damage, most recently in the first leg of the Qatar World Cup, is a profile that the team had suffered for many years. He can operate as a central player and a winger, he is adaptable to different systems and his competitive genius has been outstanding in the Champions League for Bayern.
The negotiations have been positive from the beginning. Bayern, who wanted to renew him and were not considering a sale, have finally given in to pressure from the player, who expressed his desire to sign with PSG.
With Skriniar and Lucas Hernández, PSG will have a guaranteed defense next season and will offer Luis Enrique plenty of options at the back.
