Former striker Thierry Henry is undoubtedly considered one of the best players in the history of football, as he won the World Cup with France in 1998.
But recently he revealed that he suffered from depression when he was a footballer and that also the period of isolation from COVID-19 made him so sensitive that he couldn't hold back tears.
" During my career I was depressed, but I didn't understand it. I didn't do anything to overcome that condition, I just adapted. I lied for a long time because I knew society wasn't ready to listen to what I had to say. The COVID period made me very sensitive. I was isolated and for a year I could not see my children. I cried almost every day without having a concrete reason, I believe that they were tears that had been collected for a long time. I needed to break free and realized it was the old Henry crying. I was crying for every past moment where I tried to be strong ", said Henri.
