The Albanian weightlifter, Daniel Godelli, tested positive for anti-doping tests after the 2023 European Championship, in which he participated a few months ago under the red and black flag. He reacted through a status on social networks where he reveals that he requested the B test, since the substance is not related to the sport he practices.
"To precede the portals and televisions and to be transparent and honest with you, I declare that I have tested positive for the use of a prohibited substance. Substance which is not related to the sport that I practice and therefore I request the analysis of test B, where I will fact and present every evidence that I possess to prove my innocence. This is after talking about a race where I was injured and my results were just for participation and to mark my name for Olympic points and not to compete 100%. I ask for your understanding and together we will wait for the results that will come out from the testing of analysis B. Thank you", he writes on Facebook.
