Robinjo confesses life among murderers in the most famous prison, shares space

The celebrity prison P2 of Jose Augusto Cesar Salgado in Tremembé II (San Paolo) where the ex-footballer, Robinho is isolated, is called the 'famous prison' because they are housed there, in cells with an area of 9 to 15 square meters and in which housed up to 6 prisoners, people whose crimes made a sensation in Brazil.

There is a wide range of them, from the most despicable to others who have committed political crimes: murderers, rapists, kidnappers, corrupt politicians and some 'celebrities' who have broken the law.

As for the cellmates, some are really terrible cases because of the cruelty of their actions: Aleksandre Nardoni is serving the sentence for the murder of his daughter; Roger Abdelmasih is an 81-year-old former doctor who sedated patients and then tortured them; Lindemberg Alvesh, the man who kidnapped and killed 15-year-old Eloá Pimentel, his girlfriend at the time, was also sentenced to 98 years in prison.

In this kaleidoscope of over 400 prisoners, there is also the Brazilian who played for Milan in Serie A, Manchester City in England and Real Madrid in Spain, apart from being in the center of football attention, he also found legal trouble, which - despite his innocence his profession – he was given 9 years in prison for gang sexual assault. The incident dates back to 2013: a woman reported him and 6 other men for abuse in a night club.

Since then, the whole process began, including investigations and court hearings, which put Santos' former talent behind bars. He stayed there this Christmas too: the permission he had requested to spend that day with his family was refused. Previously, the request for bail was also rejected.

A bad blow for Robinjo, now 40 years old and victim, according to him, of an injustice because the 'contact' he had with the woman was consensual and because no trace of his DNA was found. The former footballer confirmed the relationship, but defined it as "superficial and quick. We exchanged a few kisses and that was it, then I went home. There were also other people."

What Robinho does in his cell: the re-education program

How do you spend your time in that place of punishment and correction? Robinjo is involved in one of the re-education programs organized by the institute, during which he learns to repair televisions and also become familiar with other electronic objects. There is another task on his agenda: taking on the role of archivist and librarian in charge of distributing books to other prisoners!
