The Czech national team will play the fourth qualifying match for the European Championship tomorrow evening, and the opponent will be Albania.
Captain Tomas Sucek will not be missing in the match against the Rossoneri, who managed to rehabilitate from a head injury he suffered in the last Premier League match.
Thomas, in what form did you come from England? How do you feel after your latest injury?
I have to say that the injury was unpleasant, it was a hard blow. I've experienced enough injuries, but this one was unpleasant. The recovery went well, I feel fit and I'm looking forward to the match with Albania. It is important to us and I believe we can handle it.
Since when have you returned to training at full capacity?
The English FA has rules. I had a few days off. Then I first prepared without contact with the other footballers.
I was with my family for two days, on the third and fourth day I was able to go for a bike ride, exercise a little. On the fifth, sixth and seventh day, I started running. Everything went well.
How do you see your opponent?
I think it's a very good team. I would rank Albania and Poland in similar positions. They have many individualities. Both in attack and defense, solidarity as a team is felt. It will certainly be a tough game for us and a challenging opponent.
Can it be considered a key match for qualification?
If I compare it again with Poland, it is a very important match. It is certainly one of the key games for us. We have seven points, we are in a good position, but we want to win to feel even more comfortable. We all want to succeed.
The last match you played against Albania was two years ago, when the Czech team won 3-1 in a preparatory match before the European Championship. Did you base your preparation with reference to this match?
I remember this meeting, but I don't know how many of our players and theirs are still there, a lot has changed. We would certainly like the same end result.
