The Albanian national team will play today the second friendly match of the month of March. Albania will face the difficult transfer of Sweden. The challenge that will take place at "Friends Arena" will start at 19:00.
This challenge is quite interesting for the history of matches between these two national teams. The previous 5 challenges have also produced goals, where Albania scored 5 times against the Swedish representative.
The first goal against Sweden was scored by Ylli Shehu in 1988, a challenge which Albania lost 1-2. While a year later our national team was defeated 3-1 by the Scandinavians. In this match, Sokol Kushta scored the goal with a penalty.
In 2004, Albania won a very nice 2-1 against Sweden. The goals for our team were scored by Ervin Skela and Adrian Aliaj. Our team won this challenge by reversal, as the Swedes were the first to score.
While 2009 is also the last match that the Red and Black National Team played against the Swedes. The challenge ended with a 4-1 victory for the Scandinavians, as the only goal for our team was scored by Hamdi Salihi.
