Despite a positive season on a personal level, where he scored 23 goals, Vedat Muriqi failed to help Mallorca secure survival in the Spanish football elite. The island club will compete in the Segunda División next season, after a difficult championship that ended in disappointment for the fans and the team.

After confirmation of relegation from La Liga, the Kosovo striker published an open letter to Mallorca fans, expressing his pain over the situation and the strong bond he has formed with the club.

" Today words really carry a lot of weight. Because the pain and sadness that you feel, I feel it too, deep in the heart of my heart, " Muriqi wrote.

The striker emphasized that throughout the season the team and fans stayed united, despite the difficulties.

" Throughout the season we laughed together, we suffered together. We lived through difficult moments, but we never lost faith in each other. Every time I went out on the field, I felt the responsibility to defend this jersey and feeling your support behind me always gave me strength ," he said.

Muriqi admitted that football can be ruthless, but added that he believes in Mallorca's return to the elite.

" Football can sometimes be very cruel. But everyone who knows the spirit of Mallorca knows one thing: this club has always known how to get back up. And I believe in this with all my heart ," his letter continues.

At the end of the message, he expressed optimism about the future of the club.

" Today we are sad, hurt... but this emblem will return to the place it deserves. Because the history of Mallorca has never been written with surrender. Thank you to everyone who was with us at every moment ," concluded Muriqi.

Meanwhile, the future of the Dardanian striker remains unclear. Muriqi is reportedly attracting interest from the Turkish Super League, with Galatasaray and Fenerbahçe closely monitoring his situation. However, the player has not made any official statement about leaving Mallorca so far.

The possibility that he will continue to stay at the Spanish club is not ruled out, considering the special relationship he has created with the fans and the environment on the island.
