Borussia Dortmund secured a dramatic 3-2 victory over Hamburg in the 27th week of the Bundesliga, in a match with two different scenes at "Signal Iduna Park".
Hamburg started the match in impressive fashion, taking a two-goal lead in the first half. Otele opened the scoring in the 19th minute, while Lokonga doubled the lead in the 38th minute, sending the visitors into the break with a clear 0-2 lead.
At the end of the first half, Dortmund had the opportunity to get back into the game, but Felix Nmeca made a mistake from the penalty spot, missing an important penalty.
However, the Yellow and Blacks reacted strongly in the second half, pulling off a spectacular comeback. In the 72nd minute, after a foul on Maximilian Beyer inside the area, Dortmund won another penalty, which Remi Bensebaini converted to narrow the gap.
Just five minutes later, in the 77th minute, Serhu Girasi tied the score at 2-2, restoring the balance.
The upset was completed in the 83rd minute, when Dortmund won their third penalty of the match, this time for handball in the penalty area. Bensebaini was again accurate from the penalty spot, scoring his second personal goal and sealing the 3-2 victory.
With this success, Dortmund maintains a 9-point lead over Bayern Munich at the top of the standings, while keeping the same distance from third-placed Leipzig. On the other hand, Hamburg remains in 11th place in the standings.
