Xhevahir Taushani, one of the most famous football emblems in Elbasan and throughout Albania in the 1960s, has passed away.
His figure remains unforgettable in the history of local sports and beyond. Taushani began his football career at a young age, quickly establishing himself as a strong, disciplined defender with a unique personality on the field of play.
For two seasons, he also wore the jersey of Dinamo Tirana, contributing to the elite of Albanian football and earning great respect and appreciation. Moreover, his talent and skills made him included in the Albanian National teams, where he represented the country with dignity and dedication. After the end of his career as a player, Xhevahir Taushani did not leave the field of sports.
He was engaged as a manager in the Elbasan club, making an invaluable contribution to the development of young generations and the organization of the team, helping to form and educate many future footballers. The memory of Xhevahir Taushani will remain alive in the hearts of sports fans, colleagues and all those who were lucky enough to know him closely.
