This Monday, the Albanian Football Federation has drawn lots for the calendar of the Superior Category for the 2024-2025 edition, which is also the 86th edition in history.
The 10 Albanian clubs have learned from their opponents for the 36 weeks of the championship, as the draw has determined strong confrontations in the first week of the championship, where the one between Partizan and Vllaznia stands out, where both teams this season will aim to win the the championship.
Meanwhile, the reigning champions of Egnatia will start the transfer against Dinamo. The other duels in the first week are those between Laçi and Tirana, Skënderbeu and Elbasan, as well as Teuta against Bylis.
The second week also stands out with "fire" duels, where the classic between Vllaznia and Tirana will be played, while Partizani will also be played against Skënderbeu, a duel that has always given emotions.
As for the derbies of the capital, Partizani-Dinamo is played in the fourth week, Partizani-Tirana in the sixth week, while Tirana-Dinamo in the ninth week of the Superior Category.
Also, during the draw process, some information was found out about the stadiums where the three teams from the capital will hold their home matches.
Tirana and Partizan will play a large part of them at "Air Albania", while Dinamo will play their home matches at "Elbasan Arena".
Present at the drawing of lots were the representatives of 10 clubs of the "Superior Category" championship, representatives of the Albanian media, the head of the Competition Department in the AFL, Marjus Sulejmani, and the former captain of the Albanian National Team, Altin Lala.
According to the decision of the FFA Executive Committee, the "Superior Category" championship will start on Sunday, August 18, and the regular championship will end on May 1, 2025. While the "Final Four" stage will be played in the period 9 – 17 May 2025.
