Ernest Muçi has earned the appreciation of Trabzonspor's management and fans, while the Turkish club is considering the possibility of purchasing the Albanian striker's card from Besiktas for a reported fee of 8.5 million euros.
According to sources close to the club, Trabzonspor is in a favorable position to carry out this operation, which could turn into a profitable investment. The interest of several European clubs in the 24-year-old increases the possibility that the directors will consider a strategy similar to the one followed in the past.
The Sørloth model, a profitable precedent
In 2019, Alexander Sørloth was loaned to Trabzonspor from Crystal Palace, with an option to buy. His convincing performances led to RB Leipzig showing a concrete interest in signing the Norwegian striker.
Trabzonspor decided to buy his card for 10 million euros and then sold it for 20 million euros, securing a considerable financial profit.
Will the same strategy be followed with Muçi?
It remains to be seen whether the Turkish club will apply the same scheme with Muçi. If a high offer comes from the European market, the management may decide to invest initially in the final purchase of the player, with the aim of selling him later at a profit.
At the moment, there is no official confirmation of a concrete offer, while the future of the Albanian striker remains open.
