The first matches of the "UEFA development" U-16 tournament for boys, organized by the AFL on March 2-7, with the participation of Albania, Kosovo, San Marino and Belize, took place today.
Albania U16 won the first match against Belize with a deep score of 9-0. The Reds dominated the meeting and in the first half they scored three goals with Kris Gecajn, Leon Darius Myrtaj and Serxho Vogli, while in the second half Flavio Shkëmbi x3, Rayan Neziri x2 and Milan Kovac scored.
Coach Ardi Behari fielded this starting line-up: Daniel Culi (GK), Darli Kurti, Kris Gecaj (C), Fabian Nuhaj, Milan Kovaci, Alex Ramku, Ernesto Marqeshi, Serxho Vogli, Emiljano Mihana, Leon Darius Murtaj, Jordan Luan Kinnavong .
The match started very well for Albania, who unlocked the result in the fourth minute with Kris Gecajn.
Three minutes later, Leon Darius Myrtaj won a penalty and converted it himself to make it 2-0. In the first half, Albania scored another goal with Serxho Vogli in the 32nd minute.
The second half also started at the same pace for the Red and Blacks who scored the fourth goal in the 50th minute with Flavio Shkêmbi. Again Shkëmbi found the way to the net in the 60th, scoring the fifth goal.
While Rayan Neziri scored the sixth goal in the 72nd and scored again in the 80th, bringing the score to 7-0.
The eighth goal was scored by Milan Kovac, who hit a header from inside the area, while Flavio Shkëmbi scored the ninth goal at the end of the match, sealing Albania's spectacular victory in the "UEFA Development" tournament.
Today, the San Marino-Kosovo match took place in the "House of Football". The regular time of this meeting ended in a draw with the score 2-2, while Kosovo won 6-5 on penalties.
The second matches of the "UEFA Development U-16" tournament will take place on March 4. The first meeting of the day in the "House of Football" will be Belize-San Marino at 11:30, while Albania and Kosovo will face each other at 14:30.
The "UEFA Development U-16" tournament will lower the score on March 7 with the last matches. The first challenge in the "House of Football" will be Kosovo-Belize at 11:30, while Albania-San Marino will be played at 14:30.
