Apparently, his transfer to the New York RedBulls in the MLS has brought this rift in the Swedish midfielder's family.
" Our paths will part. Words I never thought I would say after two children and 19 years together. My biggest argument is the kids and yes, they want to know their worth just like I do. Neglect is not love ", Shanga, who knew Forsberg since high school, wrote among others in her post.
" We read and saw in the newspapers that you were doing well and enjoying every moment, and you also had plans for the future. We didn't know anything. The reporters had no way of knowing that you were talking to them more than to your family in the last few weeks," she wrote in her post that ended with the phrase "I hope that your new life in New York, it was worth the divorce and the way you treated your children and their mother ."
