Saudi Arabia is starting to build a high-tech stadium on top of a cliff 200 meters high above Riyadh. The stadium will be built for the 2034 World Cup, which will be held in this Middle Eastern country.

The special stadium will have 45,000 seats and will be named after Prince Mohammed bin Salman.

The concept of this stadium was presented today. The Qiddiya investment company, which is responsible for the construction of the stadium, states that the building will have a roof and field that will be retracted as needed and hundreds of meters of LED wall. The LED wall is designed to open up a view of the city below.

Qiddiya Investment Company (QIC) is fully owned by Saudi Arabia, namely the Public Investment Fund managed by Bin Salman himself. The same fund owns the English Premier League club Newcastle.
