An OSCE/ODIHR delegation visited the premises of the Special Prosecution Office, SPAK, today, a day that coincides with the official launch of the electoral campaign.
Likewise, the head of the OSCE/ODIHR Election Observation Mission, Ambassador Lamberto Zannier, was received in a meeting by the Prosecutor General, Olsian Çela.
The purpose of the meeting was to familiarize the Mission representatives with the measures taken by the General Prosecutor's Office regarding the investigation of criminal offenses in the field of elections, as well as the possibilities of supporting the Mission's work by prosecutors of general jurisdiction.
In the framework of the parliamentary elections of May 11, 2025, special temporary sections have been established in all prosecutors' offices of general jurisdiction, headed by the heads of the prosecutor's offices, which will also be supported by the State Police with judicial police officers as well as by an operational force.
Also, based on the agreements concluded, work will be coordinated with the Central Election Commission and the Special Prosecutor's Office, in terms of rapid communication of reports on criminal offenses, exchange of information and efficient coordination of investigations.
