12 years ago, on January 5, 2012, the well-known prosecutor Xhevat Hana passed away. The Prosecutor of Serious Crimes died mysteriously and many suspect that he was poisoned because he had very important files in his hands. The family members themselves, especially the son, raised such a claim, but justice was never dealt with in his case.
To this day, the family members demand justice for the prosecutor who was investigating the famous case of the disappearance of Remzi Hoxha. His brother has reacted on social networks and hopes that the new justice will shed light on the truth.
" On the 12th anniversary of the unjust death of our brother, prosecutor Xhevat Hana! The bloodthirsty criminals, the murderous beasts of power who have stained their hands with blood, took their lives unjustly and treacherously in the line of duty, just to cover up the crimes and thefts they have committed in this country and on innocent people.
Justice for our brother is delayed and will be delayed as long as the people who committed this crime are powerful and sit in the seats of the legislature. From brothers and sisters ", writes Selami Hana on social networks.
Xhevat Hana was one of Albania's best-known prosecutors, with a long career in law, for some time as an adviser to President Alfred Moisiu. During 2011, he was hospitalized for a long time in a public hospital in Tirana, but his family members were forced to transport him to Italy due to the deterioration of his health, where he died on January 5, 2012.
Before being transferred from the General Prosecutor's Office at the end of 2007, the deceased Hana was the representative of the Albanian prosecution for the corruption case of the Durrës-Kukës road. Hana was also the prosecutor of the other file, that of the kidnapping, torture and disappearance without a trace of Remzi Hoxha, a case that directly implicated the Secret Service of the 90s, directed by Bashkim Gazidede. It was even Hana who demanded the extradition of Ilir Kumbaro from England.
The first to publicly express the suspicion that Xhevat Hana could have been killed was his son, Rezarti, who, in a statement to the media just 3 hours before his father's death, dismissed the family's first suspicions that the father had been injected with a serious illness by external factors for the sake of the process he was following, the one against former SHIK officials, accused of the kidnapping and disappearance of the Albanian-Macedonian businessman, Remzi Hoxha.
But, in another statement to the media, his uncle, Ahmet Çollaku, claimed that " the nephew was poisoned by the Albanian mafia ". Doubts are that his death came precisely because of Remzi Hoxha's file. / Pamphlet
