Within a few days, the State Police has intercepted two shipments of cannabis that came through the Albanian Post. In both cases, the hosts were from Kamza, even though the packages were in the name of citizens from Fieri and Korça.
According to the investigative journalist Artan Hoxha, this drug comes to the country's elite users, because it has the price of cocaine, and is very concentrated.
In an interview for the show "The Unexposed", Hoxha added that about 1.6 kilograms of this cannabis costs 80,000 euros on the market.
" The value of the quantity that was seized on March 19, about 1.6 kilograms, goes to the market for 80,000 euros. Albania from a country of origin of cannabis that is grown in cannabis houses and outdoors. In the first case, the drug came from Atlanta and came in the name of a citizen in Fier, but the real buyers were in Kamez, where it was to be distributed. On March 27, the other amount, 3.2 kilograms, worth about 160 thousand euros, was seized. It's modified, with concentrated THC.
This is recreational cannabis. Both lines from the USA, the hosts were in the river of Kamza and it had been a long time since a corridor was created between Albania and the USA for elite users and a dose of this costs 50,000 lek, close to the price of cocaine.
Catching 5 kilograms within a week through the mail, with a total value of around 250 thousand euros, shows how frequent this route has become. Traffickers instead of bringing large quantities, bring small quantities by mail. The problem is who are the ones who start it from the USA and this will come out in cooperation with the American authorities ", said Hoxha.
