According to the blue uniforms, 6 lecturers have been arrested, while Edlira Gugu, lecturer in the subject: Children's literature, has been declared wanted. The real estate agent Gazmend Hodaj, who connected the students with the lecturers, has also been arrested.
It is about the lecturers: Ornela Bilali, Subject: Art and creativity in early childhood; Zyhra Gripshi, Subject: Work with family and community; Adrian Shingjergji, Subject: Motor education and movement games; Beatriçe Gani, Subject: Learning through play; Edlira Gugu, Subject: Literature for children; Florinda Tarusha, Subject: Philosophy of education and Monika Hodaj, Subject: Gender education in early childhood.
The police announced in their announcement that the lecturers have misused their duties, irregularly passing the exams to a 31-year-old student, in order to benefit from sums of money which citizen Gazment Hodaj took.
It was the students who denounced the teachers of the Lower Cycle who received money in exchange for passing the exam, who were put under investigation by the Prosecutor's Office.
By the order of the prosecutor of this city, 7 lecturers of the Sciences of Education are accused of corruption and they have been ordered to appear, while the university has suspended them from their duties.
"Specialists of the Section for the Investigation of Economic and Financial Crimes, after the denunciation made to the Prosecutor's Office at the Court of First Instance of the General Jurisdiction Elbasan by the journalists of the investigative show, for a case of misuse of duty by irregularly passing the exams a 31-year-old student with the aim of obtaining sums of money, organized and finalized the coded police operation "Teza".
As part of the police operation under the direction of the Prosecutor's Office, the citizens were arrested red-handed: MH, 49 years old, BG, 58 years old, FT, 56 years old, A. Sh., 61 years old, OB, 50 years old, ZG, 37 years old and GH, 59 years old.
Also, the 51-year-old citizen of EG, teacher, was wanted.
These citizens with the duty of pedagogues have misused their duties, by irregularly passing the exams to a 31-year-old student, in order to benefit from sums of money that the GH citizen received.
From the control in the teachers' offices, the theses of the student's exams were found and seized as material evidence.
The procedural materials were passed to the Prosecution at the Court of First Instance of Elbasan General Jurisdiction, for the criminal offenses "Abuse of duty" and "Passive corruption of persons exercising public functions", the police informs.
