A serious incident occurred in the early hours of the morning in Pogradec, where a 52-year-old woman was found dead in her apartment, which was destroyed by fire.
The 52-year-old's neighbor, Kozeta Teço, spoke to the media, saying that the victim was a good person and lived alone. He also revealed that the victim's sister, who lives in Tirana, had visited her apartment yesterday.
"He was a very good man. He lived alone. I left the apartment at 4:30, I ran to Macedonia. I didn't see anything when I left. I found out now. Yesterday his sister was here, but she lives in Tirana," the neighbor said.
Sources from the investigation group indicate that the main suspicions are that the arson was intentional and that it is a possible case of murder.
Preliminary investigations have revealed that the main lead being worked on is that of a conflict over ownership.
At the scene, security camera footage from two buildings near the building where the 52-year-old's apartment was located was seized. Also, several people have been escorted to the premises of the Pogradec Police Station and are being questioned regarding the circumstances of the incident.
