Although about 20 days have passed since the floods caused by the overflowing of the Vjosa River, the affected residents in Ferras are still suffering the consequences.
Residents say that unusable household furniture, damaged housing structures, and agricultural land under mud with destroyed crops is what the flood left behind.
They also complain that they are sleeping in damp conditions. Residents say that, despite verifying the damage, they are skeptical that they will receive quick compensation.
Residents add that just a few days ago, the full payment of compensation for the 2021 floods was completed.
Faced with this difficult situation, they demand immediate response from state institutions and ask not to be abandoned in these conditions.
