Today, the Ministry of Interior is conducting interviews with candidates who have applied for the position of General Director of the Republic Guard, following the official call for applications, following the resignation of Ermal Onuz in June last year.
The interview of 8 candidates in the race will be held in alphabetical order, Arian Sopiqoti, Denis Deliu, Faik Basha, Ilirjan Hasanaj, Liman Hoxha, Simon Zereci, Vasil Çuni and Zaje Osma. The interview is being held before an evaluation commission, composed of the Deputy Minister of Interior, the Secretary General of the Ministry of Interior and the Director of the Police Supervision Agency.
During the hearing, the candidates will present their platforms and vision for leading the Republican Guard. The members of the Commission will ask the candidates questions, in accordance with the evaluation criteria set out in the instructions of the Minister of the Interior.
At the end of the process, the commission will evaluate and rank the most highly rated candidates, based on the submitted documentation, the information administered, and the performance during the interview. The ranking, along with the written evaluations for each candidate, will be forwarded to the Minister of Interior, who will send the proposal to the Prime Minister for the final appointment.
