The leader of the Democratic Party, Sali Berisha, declared a day ago that he will not leave office, even after losing the elections. He described them as a farce and declared that he will run for re-election again in 2026.
Analyst Andi Bushati stated that Berisha's (non)being at the head of the DP "does not prevent Rama from stealing."

Andi Bushati: Saliu, no matter how he stays or how he leaves, they can't stop Rama from stealing. The President of the Shudo Federation, should he leave? In dictatorships, the role of the opposition is zero.
Preç Zogaj: What do you call dictatorship? This is an authoritarian country, it is becoming more and more a party state. But there is impunity, there are efforts to establish the rule of law.

Andi Bushati: The problem is that Rama has received more votes than in 2009, 2013, 2017, 2021.

Andi Bushati: It's not that we have a weak opposition, but that we have a government that is only growing. If Saliu were bad, the votes would go to the new oppositions. Rama has never received more votes than in 2025. He has governed so well that he is only growing?!
Preç Zogaj: In my opinion, any democratic leader who comes to the head of the DP will defeat Rama. Politics has rules.
